Social Security Increases Cost of Living Adjustment

In October, Social Security announced a 2% increase to the 2018 benefits due to a cost of living adjustment (COLA). Social security beneficiaries should see this increase in their January 2018 benefits. Additionally, there was an adjustment to the maximum amount of earnings subject to Social Security tax.
